It only took me five months to get the urge to upgrade my BRZ, after saying I wouldn't! I made my first purchase tonight, for wheels and tires (of course). I went for OZ Ultraleggera's in black, 18x8, wrapped in Michelin Pilot Super Sport tires, 245/35. Hopefully it will add some much needed grip!
Already contemplating exhausts, too... oh this might get expensive.

Good luck trying to get your drift on. I had those tires on my LGT and the only time I ever broke grip with them was when they were first put on and still had the mold release agent

Beautiful wheels.
I got the TRD exhaust installed immediately. It's the perfect balance between sound and comfort. No drone, not too loud, but a beautiful rip through the upper rev range.
I also got the FiveAxis Design spoiler installed. Just the right little lip to complete the rear.
Oh yeah, and take the badges off the rear. Iz moar better that way

You'll love the PSS. Incredible tire. Wheels look great.

Awwwwww yiiiisssss. I had the same problem. I was like "I'll get a cheap catback" next thing I know I am getting headers!
You will love PSS by the way. They are so good that most supercars use it!

That's cool, it's actually my car, I recorded it just a few weeks ago.

i had such a massive... Want for one of these in 2012, went for something older though. Evidently a car show I was at the other day had an ls2 swapped one. Love the wheel and tire choice!

I ordered it through my dealership. They painted and installed it for $600-ish

I feel bad for you... Just managed my first four-wheel drift ever on my PSS's in my LGT on a tight uphill sweeper. What a beautiful thing it was.
That being said I am on new springs and swaybars.. makes it easier to get some tail.

I had new F&R Hotchkis sways with Kartboy endlinks, paired with Bilstein HD shocks that were custom valved to STI Pinks, all sitting on 2011 WRX wheels and 245/40/17 MPSSs. I ended up selling the car due to a ringland problem after only 1300 miles with that setup. Man, I've never felt love like that

Oof. Only 1300 miles on the perfect handling setup before you had to give her up. I'm sorry for your loss. I'm running whiteline sways F/R with eibach springs and Kartboy endlinks. Love the '11 WRX stockers, look amazing on the leggy, especially with regal blue pearl like yours. If they were a bit lighter I would be very tempted to pick a pair up myself. If you're ever in the Berkshires I'd be happy to give you some grief counseling/some seat time!

I appreciate the offer! I'm unfortunately located halfway across the country in Wiscaaaansin. I did the whole handling thing in a matter of about a year's time, so everything piled together didn't leave much room for some lightweight, but expensive wheels. After my current Impreza Outback Sport kicks the bucket I might have to pick up another LGT. To be honest, a year after selling it I still think about it (regret, 100%) almost weekly

At least you're still in the subie family! I can understand the frustration you feel without boost in your life, my EBCS stopped working properly and I couldn't figure it out for 3 weeks. 3 weeks without boost, I almost died.

I'm not 100% off the juice- I inherited my wife's car and she got a new Foz XT that I sometimes insist on taking to work and doing errands with. Obviously not as fun (the 4EAT is an AWFUL transmission), but it keeps me at bay for the time being. I'm impatiently counting down the days until my triumphant return to having a fun car to DD again (12/1/2017 is when the Foz loan is paid off, but I have a feeling we'll get it done early and I'll be getting something a year sooner.
Aside from the EBCS, how's your LGT doing? How many miles? Any updates on its overall reliability?

Just seeing this now for some reason... Very noble of you to sacrifice your fun DD and have your wife keep hers. Agreed about the 4EAT, worse than a CVT? Quite possibly in my opinion. The LGT is doing quite well reliability-wise. No major repairs beyond normal consumables and she has never left me stranded, currently 95k miles on her as of today! Been stage 3 running 20PSI for 38k miles now. For all I ask of her the reliability is incredible. Just starting to have some oil consumption now, thinking about investing in an air/oil separator to stop blowby. Unfortunately the system needs two to work properly, making it a considerable investment.

Glad to hear the LGT is holding up well! And thanks for the honorary compliment (I believe you're only the 2nd person to commend me on making a sacrifice like that). Mine had 96k on it when we parted ways, and it too was consuming a bit of oil, but nothing to be too concerned about. I always performed oil analyses and monitored the wear, and it held up quite well. There were a few niggling issues, but nothing to really complain about for someone who knew what they were getting themselves into. If you're really considering keeping it for quite a while you may also want to look into an oil bypass system like this one: https://www.amsoil.com/shop/by-produc…
Cheers! And keep us posted on the LGT- it's a fan favorite around here!

No problem! Where did you have your oil analyses done? Blackstone?
Never seen that kind of secondary filtration system before, something that deserves to be investigated further in terms of effectiveness. I plan to keep the car for another 2-3 years while I'm in the area if everything goes the way I expect it to, but that isn't always the case... I definitely need to start posting more about her, shes too good to me not to be shared!

Yes, I got all of my analyses done at Blackstone, but some may argue about who is better. It works for me since I'm not a total nut and just want a good overview of my engine's health.
Please post more about your LGT!
